"The Talk" hosts discuss "Dancing with the Stars" pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy who is back on U.S. soil, after fleeing his native Ukraine amid the Russian invasion and how he documented his journey through social media. Amanda Kloots says, "I think for the first time we're seeing social media play a role in war. And it gets a bad rap, and there's a lot of reasons why it does. But in this case, I think social media has shown us how we can be at home in our safety and help, we can donate. We have people like Maks who are showing us what's happening on the ground there...I do think there has been a great impact from social media on this war that we've never seen before. I feel like the world is united to help Ukraine through this." Akbar Gbajabiamila adds, "It's forcing global accountability and I think that's what we're seeing right now." On how social media has impacted how the news reports, Natalie Morales shares, "With news organizations, you are there on the front lines. You are trying to report the stories as quickly as, you are trying to keep up with the feeds on social media."
