Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign fully intend to release Vultures 2, and fans will be treated to a special guest appearance. Takeoff will reportedly be a posthumous feature on the album.

Ye appeared on Justin LaBoy’s The Download this week and made headlines for his unfiltered comments about Drake and the current collective effort to take him down spearheaded by Kendrick Lamar, Future, Metro Boomin, Rick Ross, and more. LaBoy also took the opportunity to ask about Vultures 2, the follow-up to his February LP Vultures 1, which was originally set to come out on March 8.

The controversial podcast host asked if the project was really coming out, and if so, when. Ye revealed the project will now be released to the world on May 3. Soon after that news broke, Rolling Stone confirmed that “Let Me Chill Out” featuring Rich The Kid, NBA YoungBoy, and the late Takeoff will be part of the album.

Takeoff’s appearance on “Let Me Chill Out” will mark his latest posthumous feature among a shortlist of artists who have gained clearance to include him on their projects. It began with Metro Boomin featuring the Migos member on “Feel The Fiyaaaah” alongside A$AP Rocky, a record from his December 2022 album Heroes & Villains.

Quavo followed that up in August 2023 with his album Rocket Power, which was dedicated to his late comrade. Takeoff had vocal snippets all throughout the project and full verses on “Patty Cake” and “Back Where It Begins.”

Huncho inserted his late nephew into his current feud with Chris Brown, adding a verse from the rapper on his latest diss track “Over H**s & Bi**hes” after Breezy suggested that fans wished that it was Quavo who died in November 2022 rather than Takeoff.

Kanye West is no stranger to working with Migos members, as both he and Quavo were featured on the 2016 record “Champions.” In 2022, Migos joined Ye on “We Did It Kid” from his elusive album Donda 2, which never made it to streaming services. Time will tell if West and Ty Dolla $ign release Vultures 2 on May 3, but at least fans have something else to look forward to whenever the project comes out.

Vultures 1 was a successful endeavor for the duo. The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart and sold 150,000 album-equivalent units in its first week, despite being removed from streaming services multiple times. “Carnival,” a track featuring Rich The Kid and Playboi Carti, reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and TikTok Top 50 charts.

Outside of music, Ye recently announced that he is launching “Yeezy Porn,” a brand and adult entertainment company that will fall under the Yeezy umbrella. He has been a known fan throughout his career, and will secure the help of Mike Moz, Stormy Daniels’ ex-husband, in this new venture. Moz has been a talent scout, art director, and producer for porn films for several years.
