Alan Thicke: Judge Throws Out Lawsuit Brought Against His Widow by Stepsons
When you grow up as the son of America’s TV dad, Alan Thicke, it’s safe to say you’re going to be in the spotlight. Robin’s near-iconic haircut has been part of his style since he first started sneaking on the set of “Growing Pains” with his father. Robin’s long hair was mostly seen at red carpet events like the Victoria’s Secret and Interview Magazine Sexy Book Launch in 2003 or a PlayStation 2 “Playa del PlayStation” Party.
On Thursday, Patton filed documents alleging that Thicke and his lawyer arranged some off-the-books communication with the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services folks, including a fancy sushi dinner where her ex-husband wined and dined a caseworker.
The police were called, the source continues, and Patton left, taking the couple’s son with her. The Thicke source says Patton, 41, arrived an hour late to the location and refused to send her son off with the court-appointed monitor. “He was not in violation of the restraining order,” the Thicke source continues.
The exes appeared Tuesday in court, where Thicke’s legal team requested either “no monitor, a change in monitor or a ruling that said the monitor couldn’t make changes to the visitation” with their 6-year-old son Julian, two sources confirm to PEOPLE. “Robin wants to spend as much time as possible with Julian, and he was upset because the monitor was trying to cut his visit time short, so his team went and filed to change to a new monitor, which was denied,” says a Thicke source. Last month, an L.A. judge granted Patton sole custody of Julian until their Feb. 24 court date and ordered Thicke to stay away from his son and ex-wife other than for supervised visitation three days a week.
