While there was only a tease about “Guardians of the Galaxy 3,” franchise star Chris Pratt is definitely excited about the latest updates to the universe. “Oh my God, I cannot […]

After a disappointing Season 2, the HBO series returns with Oscar-winner Ali as the haunted detective and Carmen Ejogo as his love.

Viggo Mortensen packed on 25 pounds before he started shooting "Green Book," and then another 20 during production.
The actor, pointing out that people don’t say that word anymore, used it himself. Now he’s saying sorry.

Stylish mysterious teaser featuring last year's Best Supporting Actor Oscar winner for 'Moonlight' raises lots of questions — including about NC-17 rating
The numbers “4:44” have been mysteriously appearing on billboards and online ads in Los Angeles and New York, as well as banner ads on websites including Complex.com, Fader, and Hypebeast. Fans went into overdrive assuming the numbers were code for Jay Z’s upcoming album because the word “Tidal” appeared at the bottom of some of the ads. Tidal is a subscription-based streaming service that Jay Z is a lead investor in, along with other musical artists.
Sunday’s 89th Academy Awards was a major night for the cast and crew of Moonlight. Mahershala Ali won Best Supporting Actor, writer-director Barry Jenkins and co-writer Tarell Alvin McCraney won Best Adapted Screenplay, and, in that crazy moment, the film won Best Picture. The wins were historic as Ali is the first Muslim actor to win an Oscar, Moonlight is the first ever LGBT+ film to win Best Picture, and Jenkins was the first African-American writer-director ever to be nominated for Best Director.
The Best Picture mistake heard round the world was just one of many memorable moments from the 89th Academy Awards. In one of the most shocking moments in the history of the Oscars, Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway incorrectly announced La La Land as the Best Picture winner. It’s easy to see now that there was a problem as Beatty fumbled with the envelope and delayed the announcement, but at the time, everyone assumed he was just joking around.
Going into this year’s Oscars, two things seemed most at stake: whether La La Land would dominate the awards, and whether President Trump would dominate the show itself. It turned out that Warren Beatty dominated the proceedings in the end. As the night’s final presenter, along with Faye Dunaway, the two declared La La Land the Best Picture winner, but as the producers and cast for that film assembled onstage, it was announced that, no, Moonlight had actually won.
President Trump’s executive order to ban immigrants from seven Muslim-majority countries prompted people to protest at airports across the country, but that wasn’t the only place. At the SAG Awards Sunday night, many actors took to the stage to speak out.
"I'm a Muslim," said the actor proudly, upon winning the SAG Award for best male actor in a supporting role.
