Production on New Line’s “Don’t Worry Darling,” the second film directed by Olivia Wilde, was temporarily halted on Wednesday after a crew member tested positive for COVID-19, an individual with knowledge of the matter told TheWrap.The positive result occurred as part of routine testing in compliance with industry rules for safe filming amid the ongoing pandemic that has killed more than 230,000 people.The identity of the affected crew member has not been disclosed, but the individual and everyone in the production with whom that person came in contact are self-quarantining, and the film will halt production for 14 days. Gemma Chan (“Crazy Rich Asians”) is in talks to join Marvel’s “The Eternals,” which focuses on a group of ancient human beings, an individual with knowledge of the project told TheWrap. Chan previously played Minn-Erva in “Captain Marvel.” It is unknown if Chan will reprise her role or will play a different character. If it is a new role, this would be the first time that an actor played separate roles in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Chloe Zhao (“The Rider”) will direct from a script by blacklist screenwriters Matthew and Ryan Firpo. “The Eternals” will focus on the race of ancient, superpowered humans created by Jack Kirby in 1976.
