Taco Bell Has First-Ever Breakfast Tacos

Taco Tuesday doesn't have to mean dinner.

Taco Bell is celebrating their new toasted breakfast tacos — which combine eggs and shredded cheese in a grilled tortilla. Customers can choose between two meat options, bacon or sausage, or a veggie version with potato. They're available nationwide as of Oct. 12.

The tacos join Taco Bell’s morning menu offerings of burritos, quesadillas and Crunchwraps, plus sides like hash browns and coffee beverages.

To honor the fitting menu addition, fans can score the toasted breakfast taco for free every Tuesday for the rest of October. The Taco Tuesday deal is available on Oct. 17, Oct. 24 and Oct. 31 and available for reward members. No purchase is required to grab the freebie but customers must order on the Taco Bell app. Plus, for taco fanatics who purchased the Taco Bell taco lover’s pass last week, the breakfast tacos are eligible for their daily freebie.

The toasted breakfast tacos aren’t the only menu item coming to stores on Oct. 12.

On Thursday, customers nationwide will also be able to add vegan nacho sauce to their Taco Bell orders. The dip, made from  a chickpea and soy base, will go particularly well with the chain’s nacho fries, which made a return to the menu in late September.

Thursday is a big day for new menu items at fast food joints. Starting on Oct. 12, Burger King fans can order Have-sies: a side order of half French fries, half onion rings. The ideal combo for indecisive guests, the new item is available a la carte or as part of a small, medium or large value meal.

The fast food mavericks first tested out Have-sies under the name “Fries N’ Rings” earlier this year in a few Florida restaurants.
