‘You Can’t Fix Him,’ Dr. Phil Tells Young Woman Whose Boyfriend Has Been Abusive

Autumn says her relationship with her on-again, off-again boyfriend, D’Andre, has been physically abusive. She claims he has choked her, thrown her to the ground and pushed her head into a wall. Yet, she says she continues to return to the relationship.

“I feel like everyone has, like, someone in the world that they’re meant to be with, so, is he just, like, not meant to be with anybody if he’s like this?” she asks Dr. Phil on Tuesday’s episode.

“No, not at all. But, by the same token, what’s wrong with him is above your pay grade,” Dr. Phil tells her. “You can’t fix him.”
