Sysco workers on strike demand improved working conditions

More than 200 drivers and warehouse workers at food giant Sysco went on strike in Howard County. Once the strike was called at 1 p.m. Wednesday, union members said they stopped making deliveries to regular customers that include the White House, the U.S. Capitol, Oriole Park at Camden Yards and the Cheesecake Factory. The hundreds of Teamsters members walked off the job Wednesday and onto the picket line, manning it 24/7 outside the global food distribution giant's hub in Jessup.
