It’s easy to be overshadowed as the middle child of actor Sylvester Stallone and supermodel Jennifer Flavin, but that’s not the case for Sistine Rose Stallone. She's making a name for herself in both of her parents’ industries and beyond.

Stallone admits that there were times he put "work ahead” of his family, but now he’s prioritizing being a dad. “That [was] a tragic mistake which won't happen again," he told The Hollywood Reporter in 2022.

“I’m looking forward to a new chapter of life, slowing down for a change to spend some time with my girls,” he said on his Paramount+ reality show, The Family Stallone. Season 1 gave viewers a closer look at Sistine, who, in addition to her modeling and acting careers, has a passion for horseback riding and screenwriting.

“Sistine, she’ll just ram it, full steam ahead and consequence be damned. And hopefully it’ll turn out,” Stallone said of his daughter's determinism.

While she's grateful for the guidance and advice she's received from her A-list father, he’ll always be “dad” to Sistine. “I will never admit that he's a big deal, are you kidding me?" she teased in a 2019 interview with Entertainment Tonight.

Here's everything to know about Sylvester Stallone's daughter, actress Sistine Rose Stallone.

She was born in 1998

Stallone and Flavin welcomed daughter Sistine on June 27, 1998, in Los Angeles, weighing 7 lbs., 6 oz. The actor and model were overjoyed by the new addition to their growing family; at the time, their first daughter, Sophia Rose Stallone, was almost 2 years old.

"This is a great day for our family," Stallone said in a statement, according to Deseret News.

Stallone revealed years later that Sistine's name was inspired by the famous chapel in Vatican City, a fact he shared when he visited the location in September 2022.

"Very rare and special moment," he captioned an Instagram photo of himself with several sets of keys. “I was allowed to hold the KEYS that open EVERY single door in the entire Vatican City! Including the Sistine Chapel… So glad we named our beautiful daughter this beautiful name, 'Sistine,' "

As for her middle name, it’s something she shares with her two sisters. "All the middle names are Rose so they can’t battle,” he told PEOPLE in 2006. “Rose is a great name, you can’t knock it. You can’t get better than Rose – it’s neutral."

She has four siblings

Sistine is one of five kids. Her two older brothers — Sage and Seargeoh — are half-siblings from her dad’s first marriage to Sasha Czack. After they divorced in 1985, Stallone met Flavin, and the couple welcomed three girls together: Sophia in 1996, Sistine in 1998 and Scarlet in 2002.

Stallone admits he has learned to be more available for his girls. "I make a much better father and husband now than I could have earlier … I sometimes think all men should wait till they're 50 to settle down," he told Australian magazine Woman's Day in 2007.

"You figure out that it's not your work and successes that count, but the kind of life you make for yourself and the people who know you," the Tulsa King star added about family.

Stallone’s daughters were raised in L.A., and Sistine says they are “so close,” even recalling when she got a chop in solidarity after Scarlet was given a bad haircut. “I said, ‘Cut off all my hair too,' ” she told Harper’s Bazaar in 2017. “I still use that. ‘I cut off all my hair for you.’ ”

These days, many of Sistine’s Instagram photos feature funny moments at home with her parents or adventures with her sisters, whom she lovingly calls her “twins” and  “best friends.”

She enjoys her family's memorable outings

Family outings are a lot more impressive when you're a Stallone. Sistine has joined her family at incredible events like the Ralph Lauren SS23 Runway Show and courtside seats at a Lakers game, but fans were most excited to see her as Miss Golden Globes alongside her sisters in 2017.

"Freaking out is an understatement," Sistine told PEOPLE after discovering she would share the title with her sisters. "I think that just being able to be with my sisters, [having] my best friends by my side, is going to make this experience absolutely memorable and something I'll never forget.”

She was just as excited that her dad would be in the audience. “The fact that my dad won [a Golden Globe] last year and he'll be able to support us while we supported him last year is a huge, huge, huge memory that we're going to all immensely cherish,” Sistine said.

She followed in her mom’s modeling footsteps

Her supermodel mom inspired Sistine’s first foray into the entertainment world. The triple threat signed with IMG models in 2016, was named a “fresh face to watch” by Vogue and walked in Chanel's Métiers d'Art show the same year.

Since then, she’s been seen on the runways of Dolce & Gabbana, a Love magazine advent calendar shoot and a spread in Elle Bulgaria. But Sistine hopes to mimic her mom’s career in more ways than one.

“She really knows how to sell,” she told Women's Wear Daily in 2023 of Flavin. “I would love to emulate her and start a business of my own."

Over on Instagram, Sistine has called her mother the “strongest woman” she knows.

She is inspired by her dad’s film work

Sistine has branched off from modeling and moved more into her dad’s realm as she's gotten older.

When she became interested in acting, her dad sprang into action to help her by reading lines. "He was really sweet. He would help me read for all of my auditions in the beginning," Sistine told PEOPLE Now in 2019. Unfortunately, her manager asked him to stop because his voice was too recognizable.

Regardless, Sistine has been making a name for herself as an actress. In 2019, she starred in 47 Meters Down: Uncaged and in 2021, she was featured in Midnight in the Switchgrass alongside Bruce Willis, Megan Fox, Machine Gun Kelly and Emile Hirsch.

Now, she’s turned her sights to the screenwriting side of the business. On The Family Stallone season 1, Sistine was seen working on a project that was eventually picked up to be produced by MGM. Season 2 of the reality TV series will feature the movie filming.

Her dad “intimidates” potential dates

Sistine keeps her romantic life under wraps, but that may be because her dad has gotten involved before.

"It has been a bit of struggle for my sisters and I to even find a relationship,” Sistine said on their show. “Not only do we have 'Stallone' attached to our last name — my dad is also very overprotective and quite intimidating,"

She recounted the first time she brought a boy to their house and how her dad foiled her first kiss.

“He looks up at the balcony and he goes, 'Oh my God. What is that?' " she said. "And it was my dad standing on the second floor balcony backlight so just see a silhouette … this kid jumped in the car, went down the driveway — never saw him again."

Stallone maintains that he’s doing his daughters a favor. "Someday you'll see I'm helping you girls. I'm getting rid of these creeps,” he said.

She's a newly-minted reality star

The Family Stallone premiered on May 17, 2023, on Paramount+, making Sistine and her family reality stars. She told WWD that they've been approached about creating a show many times since she was 12, and she was “surprised how on-board [her] dad was” this time.

“All of us were really nervous … with what could possibly turn out to be a disaster, or deal with hate or backlash,” she continued.

Luckily, the experience has been positive for both them and viewers. “It’s been such a pleasure to hear people actually like the show and they see the authenticity coming through,” Sistine added.

For his part, Stallone called the show “the ultimate home movie” and is excited about his “resurgence.” Ultimately, he loves spending time with his girls working on it. “[My family is] all that matters,” he told PEOPLE in 2022.

After many years of being the superstar of his family, Stallone is excited to sit back and see what his children accomplish. "In life, I just want to set my dreams and aspirations, and now it's their turn," he told PEOPLE. "I'm not going to be around forever, so I'm embracing being cool ... it's worth it."

Whether it’s practicing lines together or walking the red carpet in support of his daughter at her 47 Meters Down: Uncaged premiere in 2019, Stallone always has Sistine’s back.

Now that Sistine will be doing more film work behind the scenes, she’s excited to rely on her dad for motivation and support.

“It’ll be really special because this is my first time doing anything producing-wise behind the scenes,” she told WWD about selling a script to MGM. “It’ll be nice to have my dad there for advice and me trying to figure it out on my own.”

Sistine is equally supportive of her father, often hyping him up on Instagram and supporting him on the red carpet of his films. In May 2019, she traveled to France to celebrate her dad’s career at a Cannes Film Festival retrospective.

She does a little bit of everything

Sistine loves an adventure and seemingly never turns down a challenge. From showing off her horseback riding skills to hosting a podcast with her sister Sophia, she does a little bit of everything.

“My parents always say ‘Try everything and if it doesn’t work, just keep on trying,' ” she explained to Numéro magazine in 2023 about her career and life philosophy. “So I’m one of those people that want to do it all.”

She lives in New York City

Sistine was born and raised in L.A. but moved to New York City with her sister Sophia in 2023.

“I feel like everyone always says the grass is always greener ... we just wanted a whole life change, culture shock,” she told WWD. “In your mid-20s everyone says now is when you have to do it. We just took that advice and ran.”

Sistine also admitted she was “really lonely” after some of her friends moved to the Big Apple and her parents moved to Florida.

“My family are very big into change your environment if it’s not working for you,” she told Numéro magazine. “We didn’t even think about it … But so far, it has been the best decision of my life.”
