Sydney Sweeney made her latest project a family affair.

The Euphoria star, 26, makes her horror movie debut in Immaculate, which she calls a “psychological thriller” that she not only stars in, but also produced. During the making of the film, she got the chance to make some of her family member’s dreams come true.

“I flew my grandmas out [to Italy],” she revealed during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday. “They’d never been to Europe. My Grandy’s dream was to go to Italy — she’s never left the country before.”

She didn’t leave it at just a surprise trip, though. She also let her grandmas be extras in the film. “They were, like, little old nuns in there.”

Host Jimmy Fallon then shared a photo taken by Sweeney of one of her grandmas while on set in Italy last year, still dressed in a nun’s habit and smoking a cigarette.

“This is my Grandy. She’s iconic,” the actress said. “She needed a smoke break in between takes so we went outside and I had to capture how amazing she looked.”

Immaculate, which hits theaters March 22, marks Sweeney’s first foray into the world of producing. Upon wrapping, she raved of the experience with the “most amazing cast and crew” on Instagram.

“I can’t even begin to describe what an amazing experience it’s been these past few months in Rome. I’ve learned so much and can’t wait to share all the madness we created with you ♥️,” she captioned the post.

In the horror film, she stars as Cecilia, “an American nun of devout faith, embarking on a new journey in a remote convent in the picturesque Italian countryside,”  according to a synopsis.

"Cecilia’s warm welcome quickly devolves into a nightmare as it becomes clear her new home harbors a sinister secret and unspeakable horrors."

Sweeney has teased that she is “unhinged” in the film, “which is always fun.”

“But it’s also beautiful," she told Deadline last year. “I really wanted to make sure that it was a beautifully shot horror film because we were filming in such a beautiful location. Rome is stunning, so I wanted to do the locations justice.”

During Sweeney’s appearance on The Tonight Show, she also teased another new project that she might have ahead of her — a sequel to her and Glen Powell’s box office smash hit, Anyone But You.

She said there’s a “high nine chance” of the stars returning for a sequel to the rom-com. "I'm just so thankful that everybody's loving it,” she added.

Days before at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, Powell, 35, revealed that he and Sweeney are actively looking for their next project together. “Sydney is so easy to work with and so fun. We’re definitely trying to find the next thing,” he told Variety.

“We’re reading everything and just trying to see what makes sense, what we can turn into something that audiences are going to respond to.”
