Die-hard fans of actress Sydney Sweeney have rushed to her defense after one of Hollywood’s top female producers, unprovoked, claimed that she “isn’t pretty” and “can’t act.”

Carol Baum, whose work includes “Father of the Bride” and its sequel, launched a scathing attack on the two-time Emmy-nominated actress during a discussion at a screening of her 1988 film “Dead Ringers,” according to the Daily Mail.

“She’s not pretty, she can’t act,” Baum reportedly said following the release of Sweeney’s blockbuster hit film “Anyone But You.” “I don’t get Sydney Sweeney.”

“I wanted to know who she is and why everybody’s talking about her,” Baum reportedly told the audience, calling the film “unwatchable.”

Now, fans of the “Euphoria” alum, 26, have rushed to social media to throw their support behind the actress.

“Carol, you are 70. Make bitchy (and wrong) comments with friends in private,” one person wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

A second wrote, “Hollywood producer Carol BAUM, who looks like this, criticizes Sydney Sweeney, saying she isn’t pretty.”

“God give me the confidence of top Hollywood producer Carol Baum who said this of Sydney Sweeney ‘[she’s] not pretty and she can’t act’. Judge for yourself,” a third added.

“Some lady said Sydney Sweeney ‘wasn’t pretty’ and if she wants to fight me I’ll meet her anywhere she wants,” another Sweeney fan wrote on X, before another added, “Just accept Sydney is all that. And you are bitter [and] probably irrelevant.”

“Carol Baum is ‘over’. She is just a bitter old women [sic],” another wrote. “And I can’t say Sydney Sweeney is like an amazing actress(she is fine) there is no denying that she is very very pretty.”

Several others agreed. “In a world filled with supremely dumb takes: ‘Sydney Sweeney ‘isn’t pretty’ is… boy… wow!” one person tweeted, as another shared a meme that simply wrote “disagree.”

What’s more, Oscar-nominated Producer Teddy Schwarzman — who had worked with Sweeney on her latest film “Immaculate” — took to social media to share his experience of working with the actress.

“As a producer of ‘Immaculate,’ I’ll enlighten Ms. Baum that two-time Emmy nominee Sydney Sweeney is not only one of the most talented actresses I’ve worked with, but also incredibly smart, kind and humble,” Schwarzman wrote on X.

“I’m not sure why someone who claims to be a producer would make such terribly ugly comments, but I can assure everyone that Sydney is at least beautiful on the inside. And, of course, a badass Scream Queen.”

At the event, Baum went on to slam the “Madame Web” alum’s appearance, telling the audience that she couldn’t come up with a reason for why Sweeney’s career had taken off.

“I said to my class, ‘Explain this girl to me. She’s not pretty, she can’t act. Why is she so hot?’ ” she said, recalling a conversation she had with her students at the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts. “Nobody had an answer.”

The event moderator, Janet Maslin, confirmed Baum’s scathing review following the screening.

“It IS unwatchable,” Maslin wrote on X of Sweeney’s “Anyone But You” film. “Carol Baum said this after we screened ‘Dead Ringers’ at the Jacob Burns Film Center and she mentioned having seen ‘Anyone But You’ on a plane.”

“But ‘Dead Ringers,’ b/o a book Baum optioned 10 years before David Cronenberg adapted it, gets better and better,” she added.
