SXSW Film Festival 2020 Movies Coming to Amazon Prime

Amazon Prime Video announced that it will host a handful of titles that were set to screen at this year’s SXSW film festival. The SXSW 2020 Film Festival Collection will be open to all users with an Amazon login in the United States, not just those with a Prime subscription, for ten days. A launch date for the online festival has yet to be announced, and SXSW organizers said in a statement that it’s working with filmmakers to opt into the project. With its film, conference, and music components scheduled for mid-March, SXSW was canceled in its entirety on March 6 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
