Swizz Beatz and Timbaland’s issues with Triller are far from over. The duo is seeking more money from the social platform after they failed to live up to the agreed terms of their settlement based around Verzuz.

AllHipHop obtained the legal documents describing the new lawsuit. Swizz and Timbo are seeking $565,000 to cover lawyer fees after Triller reportedly failed to pay the initial $100,000 they were owed. They utilized the Affidavit Of Confession of Judgment to push for increasing the total amount of money to be paid. If successful, Triller will be responsible for paying $565,000 plus an additional nine percent.

Initially, the Verzuz founders asserted that Triller agreed to pay them $18 million by March 2022, followed by $1 million every month for the next 10 months. They went on to settle on a $28 million agreement.

“VERZUZ has always been a platform that is by the artists, for the artists and with the people,” Timbaland and Swizz Beatz said in a statement at the time of their agreement with Triller. “We’re glad to come to an amicable agreement with Triller and continue giving fans the music and community that they’ve come to know and love from the brand.”

Verzuz was launched during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and provided entertainment for music lovers of all ages. The hit battles included Ne-Yo vs. Johnta Austin, Hit-Boy vs. Boi1da, T-Pain vs. Lil Jon, and more before they sold the brand to Triller and expanded into a live show that fans could attend.

In 2021, attendees witnessed the most memorable Verzuz of all time between Dipset and The LOX. Timbo and Swizz hope to bring it back for all to see once the legal disputes conclude. Watch Dipset vs. The Lox below.
