Swifties have rarely ever spared Taylor Swift’s boyfriends from a solid Comedy Central-level roast. They’ve gone after Harry Styles’ driving skills (or lack thereof), Taylor Lautner popping up to do backflips at the Eras tour, and then again at the Eras tour movie, Joe Alwyn’s bank account funds, and John Mayer and Jake Gyllenhaal’s general existence. The list goes on, and Travis Kelce is the latest addition — but at least he’s playing along.

On the latest episode of New Heights, the podcast the Kansas City Chiefs player hosts with his brother Jason Kelce, the tight end reacted to a Swiftie’s Halloween couples costume that was inspired by himself and Swift. But while some fans dressed as Swift and their partner as Kelce, or vice versa, this fan in particular dressed as a map — and then had her boyfriend, in full Swift cosplay, slap a picture of Kelce’s face on it. The costume referenced a growing TikTok trend where Swifties would playfully and jokingly tell their football-fanatic loved ones that the singer put Kelce “on the map,” or in other words, made him famous. Naturally, the loved one would then begin ranting about how famous of a football player Kelce actually is on his own.

“She put me on the map, right there in the video,” Kelce joked about the TikTok video showing off the clever costume. “That’s so good, man. The commentary, goddamn, that was golden. Alright, hats off. That was well done. You get a round of applause for that one. I enjoyed that.”

Kelce wasn’t even half as offended as the Swiftie’s sequined boyfriend was, falling for the bit and exclaiming to his girlfriend: “He’s a well-known athlete!”

The other Swifties who made good use of their newly purchased Kelce jerseys were likely part of the cohort of fans responsible for the 400% spike in sales following Swift’s first appearance at a Kansas City Chiefs game in September.
