Swerve Strickland’s first major challenger will be revealed on the May 1 episode of AEW Dynamite.
During the April 24 episode of Dynamite, the broadcast team stated that Strickland’s challenger for the AEW World Championship at AEW Double or Nothing would be revealed on May 1. Strickland won the title at AEW Dynasty, where he beat Samoa Joe.
Swerve defeated Kyle Fletcher in a hard-fought match on the April 24 episode of AEW Dynamite.

AEW also announced that Katsuyori Shibata will challenge FTW Champion Chris Jericho for the title on Wednesday. Plus, Kenny Omega will make his return on the show.
