Spring may finally be here, but my favorite cleaning gadget is one I use every season.

The Swiffer PowerMop has been a game changer in my cleaning routine over the last year. When I first caught wind of Swiffer’s latest mopping innovation, my ears perked right up. I’d been a longtime user and lover of the brand’s WetJet spray mop, but the Swiffer PowerMop promised even more in a sleek, easier-to-maneuver package. The best part? The full mopping kit is just $30 at Amazon.

The PowerMop’s new and improved design includes a wider mop head that cleans more surface area in one swipe. With the help of the brand’s multi-surface cleaning solutions, which fit directly into the body of the mop, I’m able to seamlessly clean my wood and tile floors without having to swap products or change mop pads.

The mop head is also flexible, so I can easily swivel around furniture and other obstacles in my apartment. Even better, the PowerMop pads are outfitted with textured strips that scrub messes more efficiently, trap more grime, and absorb more liquid than the WetJet ones. I find my floors cleaner and streak-free after every use.

Another key difference in the PowerMop is its ability to lay flat on the floor, which makes it easy to reach underneath furniture and clean messes hidden in nooks and crannies. I live in a studio apartment, and much of my floor space is taken up by furniture. With the Swiffer PowerMop, I’m able to clean every inch of my floors without having to play musical chairs every time I check chores off my to-do list.

I’ve also found that the PowerMop has better longevity than its previous model. The mop pads are so efficient that I only need one to clean my studio apartment, including the hardwood floors in my kitchen, seating area, and sleeping space, as well as the tiles in my bathroom.

For quick cleanups, I usually save the mop pad to use again at another time. Plus, after consistent use of the tool over the last year (usually twice a week), I’ve only had to change its batteries once.

The full cleaning kit includes the spray mop, one multipurpose cleaning solution, two mopping pad refills, and two AA batteries to start you off. You can also pick up speciality cleaning solutions for wood floors, though I find the multi-surface cleaner to do the trick just fine (the lavender scent is my favorite!).

Streamline your spring cleaning needs and pick up the Swiffer PowerMop for just $30 at Amazon now.
