‘SVU’ costars Mariska Hargitay and Christopher Meloni reunite for holiday selfie

Mariska Hargitay and Christopher Meloni were the perfect cop tandem for 12 seasons on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit before the latter’s departure. They’ve stayed close enough to get together for the holidays, catch up, and snap a selfie.

Meloni shared a picture of him and Hargitay, just like Elliot Stabler and Olivia Benson’s old times, with a simple caption: “Friends at Xmas.” Hargitay reposted it with a slew of hashtags: “#ChrisMas #ChrisKringle #AVeryBenslerChristmas #TheChrisWhoStoleChristmas #HomeMeloni #HolidayClassics #BenslerTogether.”

In 2011, Meloni moved on from SVU after contract negotiations fell through. He admitted in March he’d be interested in participating in the show’s conclusion whenever it happens, but acknowledged outside forces would need to help make that happen.

“I always presented that I’d be open to doing the last few episodes, so that’s really all I have to say about that,” Meloni told EW. “It’s not up to me, I’ll just say that. I’ve said my piece on it.”
