I can’t believe we are approaching the 50th season of Survivor, but here we are. I remember sitting down with my entire family for Season 1, snacks in hand, and thinking this show was amazing! This upcoming anniversary season will be the first major returnee season to ring in the new era of the series. The milestone season will presumably film in the summer of 2025 and air in 2026. Jeff Probst has officially revealed some exciting details, and fans are over the moon. But who do we want to see return to the island? I have some ideas.

Sandra Diaz-Twine

This Survivor player is a beast! Even though Sandra Diaz-Twine is a bit older than some of her competitors, she should not be underestimated. Sandra competed on Survivor: Pearl Islands, Survivor: Heroes vs Villains, Survivor: Game Changers, and Survivor: Winners at War, so she is aware of how to play the game. As fans watched on The Traitors, she is loyal and can think on her feet, often manipulating those around her.

Sandra is a legend in her own right as the first two-time winner of Survivor. Sandra is known for her “anyone but me” strategy, and if others let her close to the tribal council and the finish line, she is bound to take it all and another win. Thanks to her position as a mentor, Sandra definitely knows how to win others to her side.

Richard Hatch

In my humble opinion, Richard Hatch has to be part of Survivor 50. I mean, he won the very first season of the series. After his Season 39 incident, I doubt he will ever be brought back. But if he were, he would definitely know how to rub his competitors the wrong way. During Season 1, he stripped down and walked around naked, offending many of the island natives. Even though he is widely disliked, Richard is a contestant that everyone loves to hate. It just worked for him and the show when it first aired over 20 years ago.

Jonny Fairplay

Any guy who can fake the death of his grandmother, tears and all, should be on Survivor Season 50. Jonny Fairplay competed on Survivor: Pearl Islands and Survivor: Micronesia. In a move that would go down in history, Jon’s friend Dan arrived at the Loved Ones Challenge and informed him that his grandmother had sadly passed away. Out of sympathy, the other team members chose to let Jonny win the reward so he could get more information about his dead grandma. They didn’t know that Jonny had actually orchestrated this plan before leaving America, and his nan was alive and well at home.

Fans will recall that Jonny often clashed with Sandra, so inviting both back to the island could make for some good drama.

Boston Rob and Amber Mariano

There is perhaps no more famous of a duo than Rob Mariano and Amber Brkich. Their romance began when they were in the same tribe while on Survivor: All-Stars in 2004. Boston Rob is known for his leadership skills and cunning ability to get anyone out of his way. The father of four made some pretty memorable moves while in the game, notably reneging on alliances with friends.

Cirie Fields

How could Cirie Fields not be a shoo-in for Survivor 50? The veteran has competed in four seasons and became a fan favorite quickly. It doesn’t hurt that Cirie is the Susan Lucci of Survivor, as she is often regarded as the best player to have never won. Cirie may be best known for convincing a fellow player to give up their immunity necklace. As one part of the Black Widow Brigade Survivor Season 50 needs her to be a part of it if only for the drama. Cirie proved to viewers that anyone with a passion for Survivor could compete. She’d never make Jeff angry.
