‘Survivor 46’ sneak peek video: Ben had a ‘slip of the brain’ and accidentally voted for Kenzie — Oops! [WATCH]

In the latest “Survivor 46” sneak peek video (watch above), Ben Katzman comes clean to the tribe that he was the person who voted for Kenzie Petty at the last tribal council, instead of eventual boot Venus Vafa. But the 31-year-old musician from Miami didn’t do it for any strategic reasons. Not at all. In fact, he claims his wayward Kenzie vote was completely by accident and a “slip of the brain.”

It’s Day 21 at the Nuinui camp, and Kenzie demands to know who wrote her name down. “I’m gonna clear this up right now,” Ben announces somewhat sheepishly. “I’m gonna blow my s*** up. I drew a blank.” When Kenzie seems perplexed by that answer, he responds, “That’s why I wanted to talk to you right now.”

In a private confessional, Ben tells the camera, “Yo, for real, not lying, I was not supposed to write Kenzie’s name down. I was supposed to write Venus’ name down. I just had a slip of the brain.” He later adds, “I’m at this point in the game where I haven’t been sleeping and I feel like I’m losing my mind. Kenzie has been helping me with my night terrors. I genuinely blanked.”

For her part, Kenzie appears mind-blown by what she calls a “big blunder.” She states privately, “What do you mean it was an accident, Ben? How does that happen? It’s not like it’s ‘Kenzie’ and ‘Kelsey.’ It’s ‘Venus’ and ‘Kenzie.’ Like, how did that happen? Either you’re telling a really dumb lie, or you’re telling a really dumb truth.”

Ultimately, Kenzie decides she’s “not gonna harp on it” … even though she does still look betrayed by her “island bestie.” Important note: Ben’s mistake is actually the first vote she’s received in the entire game, which isn’t too shabby of a track record. The promo video ends with Kenzie calling Ben a “jerk,” but she’s smiling when she says it — aaaaaahhhh.

Find out how it all goes down when Season 46 Episode 12, titled “Mamma Bear,” airs Wednesday, May 15 on CBS. The three-hour season finale is then scheduled for the following week, on Wednesday, May 22.
