Survivor 46” contestant Kenzie Petty fully expects to be a social butterfly in Fiji because “getting along with people is [her] bread and butter.” The 29-year-old salon owner from North Carolina adds that the ability to “make someone feel special” is how she will coast to the million dollar prize. Watch their full CBS interview above.

Before Kenzie became a salon owner she was faced with two dream paths forward for herself: doing hair or “marrying a rich old dying man.” Now that she has her own business, she says she “gets to be my own rich man.” She explains that the “role of leadership” came to her early in her family life through living with a mother that struggles with mental illness, but in this experience she’s excited about the chance to play for herself.

Kenzie says, “I know I can come across as a bimbo and I get a lot of things done because of that.” That pre-game perspective has hints of Parvati Shallow in her early days, a player that Kenzie likens herself to. She sees herself as the “weird strategic hot funny positive baby” created by the two winners Parvati and Maryanne Oketch. She’s ready to reel people in with her charm and then “like split ends” cut them out as soon as they “got to go.”

Don’t miss Kenzie compete as an original member of the Yanu tribe sporting this season’s purple buff when “Survivor 46” premieres with two-hour episodes on Wednesday, February 28 and Wednesday, March 6, followed by 90-minute episodes thereafter. The new season features 18 new players divided into three tribes and they’ll vote each other out until only one remains on Day 26 as the $1 million winner. Do you think Kenzie will be the newest champion?
