“Survivor 46” exclusive deleted scene shows how Q and Liz made up after another food fight

Turns out that Q keeping Liz from Applebee's was not the last straw — but it also wasn't unforgivable.

Food fight!

After Q refused to let Liz come on the Applebee's food reward, he became her No. 1 nemesis on Survivor 46. And then he kept her from yet another food reward in this week's episode when he beat her in rock, paper, scissors to join Maria and Ben's pizza feast. Add in the fact that there was gluten-free pizza that Liz could have eaten, and it made her one-sided food feud with Q seemingly insurmountable.

Back at camp, Liz exploded about how she thinks Q is an "ass" who didn't deserve to go on another food reward. She's also been trying to vote him out for multiple Tribal Councils. Based on everything we've seen in the last few episodes, there's no way they'll ever see eye-to-eye on anything in this game. But Entertainment Weekly has an exclusive deleted scene that reveals how they made up after yet another fight over food, and actually started to bond.

It all starts when Q, Liz, and Ben head to the water well, and Q apologizes for rubbing her the wrong way. "I'm just pissed about the pizza," she says with a sigh. "To be real with you, Q, I mean, I got mad respect for you. I just feel like you keep duping me."

Q is shocked because he has no idea what she's talking about. "I didn't do anything," he says. Her response is that he didn't pick her for the Applebee's reward — because she will never let that go.

In Q's confessional, he describes his relationship with Liz in the game as "weird," and he decides to connect with her over being business owners and growing up poor. And it actually works. Liz gets choked up talking about how she understands him on a personal level, but she brings it back to the game immediately. "I just don't understand your game, Q," she tells him.

In a confessional, Liz is more direct. "I still don't respect his gameplay," she says. "But I do feel like Q and I have a better understanding of each other. I'm glad we hashed it out. I feel like my hard feelings are softening. They're still like a Starburst — I'm still chewing on it."

They continue talking at the water well, and the best part is when Ben pops back in to ask if he should leave, because everyone — Liz, Q, every single viewer — forgot he has been standing there for this whole conversation. Talk about an awkward third wheel! Liz jokes that "this is juicy," and they don't have TV on the island, so why not stay and watch two former enemies make up?

The conversation continues as Q argues that he's never done anything to hurt Liz in the game (aside from keeping her from her dream meal at Applebee's though, right?), and Liz says that she's never thought he was malicious (even though she just called him selfish and an ass earlier in the episode). Liz is still confused, but they give each other a fist bump and, for now, put their differences aside to eventually vote out Venus together.
