One city in the United States has drivers that are surely on Santa Claus' naughty list this year.

Earlier this month, GasBuddy — a company that helps drivers find lower gas prices along their route — released its "Naughtiest and Nicest Holiday Driving Cities" study, which found that drivers in Tucson, Arizona, were the worst.

Drivers from the West Coast city were followed by Nashville, Tennessee, in second place, with Florida's Orlando and Jacksonville in third and fourth place, respectively.

Rounding out the rest of the naughty areas in the country were New Orleans, Louisiana; Richmond, Virginia; Salt Lake City, Utah; Buffalo, New York; Memphis, Tennessee, and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

According to GasBuddy, the company compiled data using an optional prompt in its mobile app, which provides users with an assessment of their driving habits to help improve their fuel efficiency.

The app, the company said, also maps out where users may have exhibited poor driving habits along their route.

Looking at over 8 million drives in the top 50 metropolitan areas by population, as defined by the United States Census Bureau during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, the findings discovered that "U.S. drivers are up to 48% more aggressive on the roads during the holiday season."

The most frequent aggressive driving habits drivers have during the holidays are hard braking, followed by speeding and rapid acceleration, the company said.

Additionally, GasBuddy also uncovered the cities with the least aggressive holiday drivers, with Minneapolis, Minnesota, taking the top spot.

Other cities featured included Providence, Rhode Island, in second, followed by Portland, Oregon; Seattle, Washington; Cleveland, Ohio; Norfolk, Virginia; Hartford, Connecticut; Las Vegas, Nevada; Rochester, New York, and Columbus, Ohio.

"Driving during the holiday season can be stressful, but it's important to remember to stay calm and courteous on the road," Patrick DeHaan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy, said in a statement.

“Additionally, aggressive driving can negatively impact fuel efficiency, causing drivers to waste money that could be spent on holiday celebrations or gifts for loved ones," he added.
