Surprising Things We Learned From Watching ‘The People v. O.J. Simpson’

On Tuesday, FX premiered The People v. OJ Simpson: American Crime Story and let us in on what really happened on that fateful June night. A tragic image of Nicole Simpson’s body lies on the cold pavement, leaving viewers with a heavy heart. The LAPD do everything they can to piece together what happened to Nicole Simpson, and all roads trace back to O.J. The cops’ celebrity fever prevents them from taking any action on it until Marcia Clark, the prosecuting attorney for the state of California, gets her hands on the case. And while all the evidence, lie detector test results, and witness accounts point to O.J. being the killer, somehow there are a few who hope and fight for O.J. Simpson’s innocence. Clark’s passion to convict O.J. and prove he is guilty, coupled with Robert Kardashian’s naive hope that his lifelong friend is innocent, bring a compelling storyline for this week’s episode.

The People v. OJ Simpson: American Crime Story airs Tuesdays at 10pm on FX.
