Seth Meyers couldn't believe it when his late-night show's crew orchestrated a celebration for his golden birthday

Happy birthday, Seth Meyers!

Ahead of the Late Night with Seth Meyers turning 50 on Thursday, his staffers set up an elaborate surprise party on Dec. 7. In a video uploaded to the show's YouTube channel, the host is seen headed toward what he'd been told would be a simple dinner with his manager — but instead was a huge gathering in his honor.

Meyers was visibly shocked as he read out his birthday card, including inside jokes about his cue cards, to the group.

Then, upon returning to the Late Night set (where he’d just read through his "Corrections" segment), he found it transformed into a birthday party, with many more crew members ready to celebrate.

Meyers even seemed to get a little choked up as he addressed the crowd with a heartfelt thanks.

“I’m without words," he began. "I genuinely can’t believe how surprised I am. Walking out here and seeing all you guys, I also want to say it’s very special to be with you all. Thank you so much. I'm really — I'm genuinely touched.”

The Saturday Night Live alum has been hosting Late Night since 2014 — the same year he ended his tenure behind SNL's "Weekend Update" desk.

When he hasn't been welcoming celebrities, politicians and other influencers to Late Night, he’s occasionally involved his own family in the series.

For Thanksgiving, his three kids, Ashe Olson, 7, and Axel Strahl, 5, and Adelaide, 2, (whom he shares with his wife Alexi Ashe) dressed as turkeys for family and fans. The Meyers family's time-honored turkey tradition takes place each year, and the outfits will be stitched together for the kids later in life.
