Tamil star Suriya has an interesting lineup of upcoming movies. The actor was last seen in Etharkkum Thunindhavan, and his performance as a lawyer attracted a lot of praise and attention. While he is gearing up for the release of Kanguva, the actor also has a movie with director Sudha Kongara lined up. The film is tentatively titled Suriya 43, marking his 43rd project. However, the latest report suggests what the film’s actual title is.

Suriya is known for taking up the most unique roles and scripts. The National Film Award-winning actor has done some tremendous work in the industry. His movies include Soorarai Pottru, Ghajini, Etharkkum Thunindhavan, Jai Bhim, and more. Jai Bhim came out to be a critically acclaimed but controversial flick. However, his performance won the hearts of movie buffs. Now, all eyes are on his upcoming projects as the actor is putting a lot of effort into his films.

What is Suriya 43’s title?

For his 43rd project, Suriya has joined hands with Sudha Kongara. The makers of the film have kept the plot details under wraps for a long time now, along with the much-anticipated title. Last year, the makers dropped an official announcement teaser and revealed the film’s cast. In the teaser, they also revealed the second part of the title is ‘Puranooru.’ A report by OTTplay has claimed that the upcoming movie is set in the period between 1950 to 1965 in Madurai. If the reports are to be believed, the upcoming film’s title could be either ‘1965 Puranooru’ or ‘Puranooru 1965.’ However, any official announcement has not been made yet.

Malayalam stars Dulquer Salmaan and Nazriya Fahadh and Bollywood actor Vijay Varma are playing key roles in the film. 2D Entertainment is bankrolling the movie.

On the work front, Suriya will be next seen in Kanguva in a never-seen-before avatar. Siva is directing the film, which is set to release this year.
