Turns out the rumors were true. Supreme has joined forces with General Mills on a Wheaties collaboration.
The streetwear brand announced the release via Instagram on Wednesday, sharing a photo of skateboarder Tyshawn Jones sitting on the couch while enjoying โthe breakfast of champions.โ The co-branded cereal box is prominently displayed on the side; it features an all-over camo pattern and Supremeโs iconic box logo on the front.
The image was shot by photographer Ben Solomon, who also shared an image of Jones rocking the Supreme x Wheaties graphic tee, which will reportedly be available in white and black.
Whispers of a Supreme x Wheaties collaboration began swirling months ago, with some Instagram users claiming to have purchased the boxes at retail giants like Walmart. Though some thought the collab was too random to be true, others pointed out Supreme has a history of teaming up with food and beverage brands, including White Castle and Oreos. General Mills has also teamed up with Champion and Kith on limited edition releases, and also connected with Travis Scott on a Reeseโs Puff x Cactus Jack cereal box.
The Supreme x Wheaties collaboration drops Thursday as part of the streetwear brandโs spring/summer 2021 offerings.
