‘Superstore’ Finale Sneak Peek: The Calm Before the Superstorm
Looks like the Cloud 9 staff will have two storms to weather on the Superstore finale: A violent tornado and a round of layoffs. In this sneak peek clip from the Season 2 finale of the Justin Spitzer comedy, store manager Glenn (Mark McKinney) beats around the bush during an employee meeting (a rogue raccoon is at the top of his meeting agenda, followed by a reminder about firework safety), but all his staff really wants to know is who’s getting axed. When Dina (Lauren Ash), asks him when his testicles are gonna drop, it’s clear he’s dealing with a hostile crew.
Unfortunately, Glenn can’t actually answer the staff’s biggest burning question just yet, because he hasn’t decided who to let go. And despite the looming layoff announcement, he wants the crew to have a normal day. Actually, better than normal.
“Let’s have the best day ever,” he says. “Because for six of you, it’s gonna be your last!”
We just hope the little old lady survives this Superstore slaughter.
The Superstore Season 2 finale, “Tornado,” airs Thursday, May 4 at 8:30 p.m. on NBC.
