Superhero Cake Almost a Super-Disaster on ‘Kids Baking Championship’ Finale

On Kids Baking Championship, Aidan tearfully accepted the grand prize of $25,000 for his amazing lemon rosemary olive oil superhero cake, but the road to baking glory was fraught with challenges, including when he thought his baking cakes smelled like scrambled eggs. Judge Valerie offered a bit of a pep talking, telling Aidan that the smell was probably just the aroma of rosemary but Aidan remained in a panic, and things only got worse when he burned his cakes and had to cut off the browned portions.

Tasked with creating a superhero-themed cake, Justice had decided on Mr. Weatherman, and Kaniyah had created Catastrophe Girl, but Aidan hadn’t come up with a hero or an idea and was less than prepared for the judges’ evil twist of having to add an archenemy villain as part of the cake.

Fortunately, genius struck, and after a little celebratory dance, Aidan took his cake to the judges’ table. His superhero was Prism, a being of pure light, and Prism’s archenemy was Dismal, a villain that tried to take away light.

It turned out that Aidan’s superhero concept was also delicious, but the judges were less hero and more villain when they pretended like Aidan’s cake was not amazing before telling him that it was, in fact, delicious.

Kids Baking Championship airs Mondays at 8 p.m on the Food Network.
