‘Supergirl’ Spinoff ‘Superman & Lois’ Starring Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch in Development at The CW

The CW’s Superman, Tyler Hoechlin, and Lois Lane, Elizabeth Tulloch, are getting their own one-hour drama. “Superman & Lois,” from Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter and Geoff Johns, has been put into active development at The CW.

If all goes according to plan, Lois & Clark — er, “Superman & Lois” — will be its own show next season.

Here’s the logline: The world’s most famous superhero (Hoechlin) and comic books’ most famous journalist (Tulloch) deal with all the stress, pressures and complexities that come with being working parents in today’s society.

The new version is not to be confused with “Lois & Clark.”

Todd Helbing will write and executive produce the project, which is based on the characters from DC Comics created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster.

“Superman & Lois” hails from Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television.
