‘Supergirl’ Saved From Slavery By Not-So-Super Friends

On Supergirl, Kara and Mike were hot on the trail of a missing person case when they stumbled upon a lizard doctor and a transmatter portal to Planet Maaldoria. Maaldoria has a red sun, and Kara and Mike derive their powers from a yellow sun, so that meant they were powerless and lost. Fortunately, Jo, a friendly alien, informed them that this was Slaver’s Moon, a deadly planet with a huge slave trade. Kara and Mike surrendered to the slavers against Mike’s wishes, and it turned out Roulette was behind the missing persons. Powerless to fight, Kara needed a little help, and the kidnapped earthlings helped her break free from their grasp.

Fortunately, Alex and Winn were on their way to help them out of this jam, and we couldn’t help but notice a couple of aliens chose to not kill Mike when they had the chance, even bowing down to him, before Mike went on his way.

It was a yellow sun grenade that gave Kara back her powers, getting them out of harm’s way and back onto planet Earth with their new comic relief friend, Jo the alien.

Mike may have caught the superhero bug, but he better be careful, because it looks like someone’s out to find him and it’s unclear if they want to be buddies.

Supergirl airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on the CW.
