'Supergirl' fans are upset about beloved character's departure

We knew it was coming, but we still weren’t ready for it. On Supergirl, our favorite couple Alex Danvers and Maggie Sawyer broke up, and it was heartbreaking.

The engaged couple were completely in love and planning a big wedding. However, after discovering that Maggie did not see herself having children, Alex began to question their future together. The idea of not being a mother haunted her for days, which led to the couple having many arguments about it. In the end, Alex was just not able to make the sacrifice for Maggie. So she had to let her go.

Fans were not happy with Floriana Lima’s departure and the end of #Sanvers. One Twitter user shared,

However, in the end, super-cool sister Kara had the perfect breakup cure for Alex, which gave us all something to look forward to.

Supergirl airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on the CW.
