Grammy-nominated country singer Mickey Guyton gave an amazing performance of the national anthem at Super Bowl LVI, which did not go unnoticed by viewers, who immediately took to social media to praise Guyton and declare it one of the best performances of all time.

Unfortunately, Guyton's stellar performance was almost overshadowed by a moment that received a little more buzz on social media Sunday, when NBC accidentally showed Guyton on screen while introducing R&B singer Jhené Aiko, who sang "America the Beautiful" before the anthem, complete with a "Jhené Aiko" lower third.

Viewers at home had a lot to say about the flub. One person tweeted: "They really disrespected Jhene Aiko by showing someone else when announcing her name" (@DylansRawTake) While another viewer shared: "Jhene Aiko and Mickey Guyton don't look alike. Tighten up NBC. All black folks don't look alike." (@RhondaNicole25)

However, let's not take the spotlight away from Guyton, who made history in 2021 when she became the first Black solo female artist to earn a Grammy nomination in a country music category. Singing the national anthem Sunday was yet another huge milestone for the singer, who told the New York Post earlier this week, “It’s Black History Month, and a Black country singer gets to sing the national anthem at the Super Bowl. Wow. This is a huge moment for me. It’s a huge moment for Black people. And I want to represent that in the best possible way that I can.”
