A record number of people tuned in to watch Super Bowl LVIII on Sunday.

An average of 123.4 million viewers saw the Kansas City Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers 25-22 after the NFL teams faced off at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, according to initial CBS figures based on Nielsen Fast National data and Adobe Analytics.

This included 112 million viewers who watched the Chiefs' big win on CBS Sports, marking the largest audience in history for a single network, according to a CBS release. At the same time, Super Bowl LVIII was also the most-streamed Super Bowl in history.

The Final Nielsen data will be released on Tuesday and include figures taken across all platforms, including the CBS Television Network, Paramount+, Nickelodeon, Univision, CBS Sports, Univision, and NFL digital properties such as NFL+.

Last year's Super Bowl, which saw the Philadelphia Eagles lose to the Kansas City Chiefs, held the previous U.S. viewing record with 115.1 million viewers.

Multiple famous faces including the Kardashian-Jenners, the Biebers, and Lady Gaga attended the 2024 Super Bowl, alongside Taylor Swift.

The "22" hitmaker jetted from her Eras Tour performance in Tokyo on Saturday to Sin City to cheer on her boyfriend Travis Kelce alongside some of her celeb BFFs including Blake Lively and Ice Spice.

The game also saw Usher entertain crowds with an incredible Halftime Show performance featuring Alicia Keys and H.E.R. The musician belted out hits including "Caught Up", "Love in this Club" and "Yeah!"

Despite the huge viewing figures, however, the 2024 Super Bowl didn't manage to beat the world record for sports viewing set by the 2022 FIFA World Cup final in Qatar.

Close to 1.5 billion across the globe tuned in to watch Argentina beat France 4-2 on penalties during the final held at Qatar's Lusail Stadium on Dec. 18, 2022.
