And it's a well-deserved feat, since according to Amazon (per Deadline), season 2 was among the top 10 most-watched seasons of any series on the platform. Oh, and the season 2 premiere episodes reportedly doubled season 1’s viewership within three days of launching. Casual.

Will There Be Any Changes to Season 3?

Something tells us that Jenny will have something up her sleeve considering how many iconic additions there were in season 2. Case in point? The introduction of two new characters: Conrad and Jeremiah's cousin Skye (Elsie Fisher) and their mother, Aunt Julia (Kyra Sedgwick).

Back in 2022, Jenny Han opened up to E! News and dished that it was her “number one dream” to have Taylor on the soundtrack for season 2. “I was listening to Fearless, and I was like, ‘These songs have really helped me get to the finish line,’” the author explained at the time. “When I write books, I like to listen to music to help me see the emotional vein of the story, and her music really did that with me for the series.”

When Will The Summer I Turned Pretty Return?

Well, we finally have a timeline of when we'll be back in Cousins Beach and no, you don't have to pack your bags just yet.

Amazon announced at their 2024 upfront presentation that production has already begun on May 2024. However, this means that the show won't be back until summer 2025. In some good news though, this will be the show's biggest season yet with 11 new episodes coming in season 3. And at least we got this really cute cast video to make up for the longer wait.
