Radke, who has been sober since January 2021, called his then-fiancée's claim "f---ed up" on Thursday's episode and wondered, "That’s the person I'm supposed to marry?"

Carl Radke and Lindsay Hubbard arrived in the Hamptons on Thursday’s Summer House episode, and it already seems to be making good on Carl’s promise that viewers will get to see how the pair's relationship unraveled.

Following their first family dinner with all 10 housemates (Carl, 39, and Lindsay, 37, spent the first weekend in Washington, D.C.), the cast headed out to a bar. Lindsay rode in a Lyft with her fiancé and the other male housemates Kyle Cooke, Jesse Solomon and West Wilson.

While in the Lyft, Lindsay, who’d been drinking, started to express to Carl that she thought her female housemates — Amanda Batula, Paige DeSorboCiara Miller, Danielle Olivera and Gabby Prescod — would resent her for going in the car with the guys.

“I’m not with the girls and I’m worried it’s going to get somehow used against me,” Lindsay said in a confessional interview. “And I express my concern to Carl, and he basically shuts me down and dismisses my feelings altogether.”

Carl saw it differently. “I’m calm as can be in the backseat with her and I say, ‘Babe, it’s … you’re fine. I can see that, but, like, it’s not that deep,’” he told the cameras. “She looked at me, we’re, like this close, she’s like, ‘What are you on?’ I’m like, ‘Nothing. What are you talking about?’“

The other passengers witnessed the conversation, too.

“I can’t even put into words just how quickly Lindsay went from zero to 100,” Kyle, 41, said in a confessional. “She immediately starts to kind of like, freak out.”

Jesse — who opened up earlier in the night about beating cancer twice by the time he turned 30 — thought the situation “precipitated out of nowhere.”

Amanda, 32, noticed Lindsay was “visibly upset” when they showed up to the bar. “Lindsay was saying to me and Gabby, ‘He’s on something. He’s so mean to me. I can’t do this. I think he’s on something,’” Amanda told the cameras.

Lindsay convinced Gabby to head back to the house with her, and they returned home one hour after leaving.

“Something’s going on with him,” Lindsay insisted to Gabby. “The way that he spoke to me tonight was very reminiscent of like Carl on cocaine. I don’t know what happened with him, but he was not sober tonight.”

When Lindsay and Gabby got into bed, Lindsay reiterated her suspicion and referred to her fiancé as “Cocaine Carl.”

“I hate him,” she said. “He’s such a f---ing piece of s---.”

Gabby called Carl to see if he’d be coming home soon. “That sounded like a sober man to me,” Gabby concluded.

Carl then texted Lindsay to suggest they talk about the matter in the morning after she sobered up. Lindsay then accused Carl via text of not being sober, which he denied.

“It’s beyond hurtful,” Carl said in a confessional interview. “It’s f---ed up. And that’s the person I’m supposed to marry? It just, it pains me deep down, the accusation or the insinuation that I’m on something. That kills me.”

The Bravo star has been open in the past about his struggle with substances and his sobriety journey. Going into Summer House season 8, Radke had been sober for two and a half years.

When Carl and Lindsay woke up the next morning, Lindsay told him: “You were treating me like s--- last night.”

“I didn’t treat you like s---,” Carl responded. “I’m sorry that you felt like that.”

Lindsay thought talking to Carl would be “impossible,” adding, “We’re going to have the worst weekend ever.”

Lindsay suggested she and Carl “pack up and leave,” but Carl wanted “to work through this.”

She questioned why, when Carl texted her the previous night, he wrote that he was sober “now,” implying to her that he was not sober earlier.

“I’m f---ing sober,” Radke insisted. “In that moment, you were not. You drank all day long and are rude and aggressive to me when I’m trying to be supportive.”

Carl proceeded to head out for a run while Lindsay stayed in bed.
