Summer House: How ‘Blabbermouth’ West Wilson Shocked Ciara Miller
Ciara Miller was surprised that West Wilson was able to keep their relationship status on the DL after filming Summer House Season 8.
“Honestly, good on him because he is a blabbermouth, actually,” Ciara said. “He is an open book through and through, and I’m like, ‘Shut up. Shut up.’”
Ciara and West kept mum about the status of their relationship as it grew over the summer of 2023. Admitting that their friendship “definitely caught me off guard,” Ciara was taking things slow. She wanted to avoid another messy Austen Kroll situation.
Going at her own pace
“I’m always going to move at the pace that I want to,” Ciara told Us Weekly. “I really appreciated him not pressuring me and not making me feel pressure about the entire situation.” Their relationship still didn’t have a label by the end of the summer, and the model isn’t sharing their current status.
While West followed Ciara’s lead, he did confide in his housemates over the summer that he and Ciara had yet to have sex. Though she understood why he would talk to his friends, Ciara said she wished he’d shared those feelings with her.
“I do [wish that he had had conversations] with me personally, as opposed to talking to other people about it,” she explained. “But at the same time, it’s like he’s also forming relationships with these people in this house, and it’s also new to him.”
She “totally understood” West’s not wanting to label their relationship when they weren’t sleeping together. “But also, I’m not going to move faster than I want to just to be exclusive or whatever,” she added.
In Season 8 Episode 11, West admitted that he was still in touch with other girls. “I just think it’s like a weird pigeonhole to be like, we’re not having sex, but we’re exclusive,” he said at the time.
Despite their housemates being shocked at that news, Ciara was fine with it. “Honestly, I didn’t care,” Ciara said, confessing that she was “probably” also texting other guys. “It didn’t bother me because … we’d only known each other for maybe a month and a half, two months. There was still so much gray area in our relationship and things to talk about, things to explore.”
