Even Suits creator Aaron Korsh didn’t anticipate the show’s staying power.

The USA Network legal drama recently became the first TV series to top Nielsen’s U.S. streaming ranking 12 times, besting the record previously held by Netflix’s Ozark (which didn’t even claim the top spot in consecutive weeks, as Suits did).

In response to the latest numbers, Korsh wrote on X (fka Twitter) on Friday, “I always thought we were underestimated, but it turns out, even I underestimated #Suits. It’s good to be the King.”

Renewed interest in the show and its continued streaming success has spurred revival speculation, but Korsh took to social media in August to clarify that “there is no #Suits reboot or anything in the works.”

“Strike would have to end, some network or streamer would have to reach out and then we would have to collectively want to. Which is no small thing…” he continued, later adding that even if a streamer/network expressed interest, “I would consider it but it’s not my priority creatively.”

With the release of Nielsen’s latest U.S. ranking of streaming series/movies, Suits was No. 1 for a 12th (straight!) week, eclipsing the record of 11 (non-consecutive) times previously held by Ozark.

Suits’ seemingly endless reign began with the release of Nielsen’s ranking for the week of June 19, shortly after the USA Network series began streaming on Netflix (after previously only being available on relative upstart Peacock). Along the way, Suits set multiple other streaming records, including weekly minutes viewed (3.7 billion) for an acquired series. Suits also became the first series ever to deliver seven straight weeks of 3 billion minutes viewed.

Could Suits’ time at the top soon be over, though? At last count, Suits amassed 2.36 billion minutes viewed for the week of Sept. 4, versus runner-up Virgin River’s 1.92 billion. Given that Virgin River’s tally was for a just-released Season 5, it’s entirely possible that its next total is larger, as Suits’ numbers continues to slowly, slowly wane, anywhere from -4% to -6% each week…
