“The Suite Life of Zack & Cody” Cast: Where Are They Now?

The Disney Channel sitcom ran for 87 episodes between 2005 and 2008 and starred Dylan and Cole Sprouse, Ashley Tisdale and more

Disney Channel’s The Suite Life of Zack & Cody was a fan favorite for kids in the early 2000s.

The sitcom was set at the fictional Tipton Hotel and followed twin brothers Zack and Cody Martin, played by Dylan and Cole Sprouse, respectively. The twins lived in one of the hotel’s suites with their single mother, Carey Martin (Kim Rhodes), who worked as a lounge singer at the Tipton. The series also featured the hotel’s heiress, London Tipton, played by Brenda Song; the candy counter girl, Maddie Fitzpatrick, played by Ashley Tisdale; hotel manager, Mr. Moseby, played by Phill Lewis; and the hotel’s bellhop, Esteban Ramirez, played by Adrian R’Mante.

The Suite Life of Zack & Cody ran for three seasons and was succeeded by a successful spinoff, The Suite Life on Deck, which aired from 2008 until 2011, and a movie, The Suite Life Movie. The core cast has been busy beyond the franchise, too.

After The Suite Life on Deck ended, the Sprouse brothers took a break from acting and went to school — both twins attended New York University and graduated in 2015. But the famous pair eventually returned to acting, Cole with the CW show Riverdale, and Dylan with several romance movies, including 2020’s After We Collided and 2022’s My Fake Boyfriend.

Song is also still an actor, while Tisdale formed her own production company and runs a lifestyle and wellness business, Frenshe.

But what has the rest of the cast been up to since the series premiered? Here is everything to know about where the cast of The Suite Life of Zack & Cody is now.

Cole Sprouse as Cody Martin

Cole Sprouse played Cody Martin, the self-proclaimed “educationally gifted” twin.

Cole took a hiatus from acting to focus on his studies after he wrapped filming on The Suite Life on Deck, majoring in humanities and archaeology at New York University.

After graduating in 2015, he re-entered the world of acting in 2017, starring in all seven seasons of the CW show Riverdale as Jughead Jones. In 2019, he also starred alongside Haley Lu Richardson in the romance movie Five Feet Apart.

In March 2019, Cole spoke to PEOPLE about finding peace despite his many years in the spotlight.

“I think [I am] more Zen,” he explained. “The nature of celebrities changed a lot since the rise of social media. When my brother and I were doing The Suite Life, there was really no social media presence until I think the second to last year we were there.”

Outside of acting, Cole enjoys photography and has worked on fashion, landscape and journalistic photos, along with being hired by Conde Nast to photograph his travel adventures. In May 2023, he spoke to GQ Portugal about his decision to take up photography.

“In many ways, I taught myself through trial and error but I did take a couple of courses when I was in college,” he explained. “Then I started working for Conde Nast.” From there, Cole went on to work on a range of editorial shoots for brands such as Adidas.

In his personal life, Cole dated his Riverdale costar Lili Reinhart from 2017 until March 2020. The actor has been dating model Ari Fournier since January 2021.

Dylan Sprouse as Zack Martin

Dylan Sprouse portrayed Zack Martin, Cody’s older twin who loved to cause mischief.

Like his brother, Dylan took a break from acting after The Suite Life on Deck and went to study at New York University, where he majored in video game design.

Dylan has dabbled in acting over the years and has starred in movies such as 2017’s Dismissed, 2020’s After We Collided and 2023’s Beautiful Disaster. In April 2023, he opened up on the TODAY show about his experience as a child actor.

“I think, back then, when I was a child doing it — as many child actors do — you were, kind of, pushed into it by your parents in a lot of ways,” he explained. “Or the industry around you because you were so young. It’s the same way they tell you to go to school. I was going to work.”

Beyond acting, Dylan has moved into the drinks industry. In the summer of 2018, Dylan co-founded All-Wise Meadery, located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. According to the company's website, Dylan found his passion for brewing mead after working at Kings County Distillery.

Also in 2018, Dylan started dating Hungarian Victoria’s Secret model Barbara Palvin. The couple first met at a party, and Dylan slid into Palvin’s DMs shortly after. Five years later, in June 2023, the couple announced that they got engaged in September 2022, and in July 2023, they married in Hungary in front of 115 guests.

Shortly after their European wedding, the newlyweds revealed that they were planning to host a second wedding in California.

Ashley Tisdale as Maddie Fitzpatrick

Ashley Tisdale played the lovable but controlling candy counter server, Maddie Fitzpatrick.

During The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, Tisdale also starred as Sharpay Evans in the High School Musical franchise. The overlap even became a joke on The Suite Life, with Maddie auditioning for Sharpay in their high school’s production of the movie musical.

While Tisdale didn’t appear as a regular in The Suite Life on Deck, she didn't stop acting. The actress lent her voice to Phineas and Ferb from 2007 to 2015 as Candace and has voiced other characters on Sabrina: Secrets of a Teenage Witch, American Dad and Ginger Snaps.

Tisdale also delved into the world of music and released three studio albums — her latest album, Symptoms, was released in 2019.

Additionally, Tisdale runs her own lifestyle and wellness company, Frenshe, which sells home and body products. The actress is a self-proclaimed interior design fanatic, too, and she has her own design company, Frenshe Interiors.

Beyond her diverse careers, the Disney Channel alum married musician Christopher French in 2014, and in March 2021, they welcomed their first child, daughter Jupiter Iris.

Brenda Song as London Tipton

Brenda Song played the iconic London Tipton, heiress to the Tipton Hotel fortune.

Since starring in the entire Suite Life franchise, Song has continued to act with roles in The Social Network, Dollface, New Girl and more.

“I never looked at the big picture as a kid. I just loved acting so much,” she told Refinery29 in 2019. “I loved the day to day. I loved getting a script. I loved auditioning. It was never about winning an Oscar or being a movie star.”

In her personal life, Song has been in a relationship with Home Alone star Macaulay Culkin since 2017. The couple, who got engaged in January 2022, share two children together — Dakota, born in 2021, and a second child born in 2023.

"I think when you and your partner have kids, especially the first few months, you don't have the patience to be polite with each other," she told The Cut in January 2022 about her and Culkin’s family dynamic. "Being communicative when you need help is so important. Instead of having set duties, we just feel each other out. I'll be putting my son down and my partner is like, 'Let me feed the animals and get dinner ready.' "

Phill Lewis as Mr. Moseby

Phill Lewis’ portrayal of uptight hotel manager Mr. Moseby, from his hilarious one-liners to his infamous catchphrases, quickly made him one of the most loved stars of the show.

After appearing in the Suite Life franchise, Lewis had guest appearances on Good Luck Charlie, Raising Hope and Angel From Hell, among others. In 2015, he reprised his role as Mr. Moseby in an episode of Disney Channel’s Jessie.

He also works off-screen and has directed television episodes of popular comedy series, including the iCarly reboot and How I Met Your Father.

Kim Rhodes as Carey Martin

Kim Rhodes played Zack and Cody’s mom, Carey Martin, who worked as the Tipton Hotel’s lounge singer.

After her role in the Suite Life franchise came to an end, Rhodes continued to act, playing Sheriff Jody Mills on CW’s Supernatural from 2010 to 2020, appearing in 16 episodes. Rhodes also held small roles in other series, including Switched at Birth, Colony and Criminal Minds.

She has one daughter, who she shares with her husband, Travis Hodges. In August 2022, Rhodes took part in a live stream with Aucademy to share her journey of being diagnosed with autism as an adult.

Adrian R’Mante as Esteban Ramirez

Adrian R’Mante starred as the Tipton Hotel’s bellhop, Esteban Ramirez.

Since his time on The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, R’Mante has had several guest roles in popular series, including Magnum P.I. and Hawaii Five-0.

He has been married to Mayara Reina since 2018, and the couple have two children together — daughter Ara, born in 2014, and son Ian, born in 2016.

R’Mante has kept his passion for the acting industry, too. He is the CEO and founder of the Los Angeles-based TV and film training program and talent agency CGTV.

Brian Stepanek as Arwin

Brian Stepanek played the hotel’s quirky engineer and maintenance man, Arwin, who also lived at the Tipton.

After filming his guest appearances in The Suite Life on Deck, Stepanek continued to act for kids TV.

He starred as Tom Harper in the comedy series Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn, which aired on Nickelodeon from 2014 to 2018. In 2015, he also joined the Nicktoon franchise The Loud House, which has seen him lend his voice to patriarch Lynn Loud Sr. throughout the franchise, including in the live-action spinoff. Stepanek also acted in Young Sheldon from 2017 to 2023.

The actor also occasionally posts on Instagram about being a dad. In April 2020, Stepanek posted a photo of two of his children painting his toenails pink. "Anything to keep them from killing each other. #daddypedicure," Stepanek wrote in the caption.

Estelle Harris as Muriel

Estelle Harris played the role of Muriel, an ex-maid of the Tipton Hotel.

Prior to Suite Life, Harris appeared on Seinfeld as Estelle Constaza. After Suite Life, she revived her role as Mrs. Potato Head in the Toy Story franchise, lending her voice to 2010’s Toy Story 3 and 2019’s Toy Story 4. Harris' additional voice work included American Dad!, Tarzan 2: The Legend Begins and several Toy Story short films.

The actress had three children with her husband Sy Harris, who died in 2021. Harris died a year later, on April 2, 2022, due to natural causes. She was 93.

Charlie Stewart as Bob

Charlie Stewart portrayed Bob, one of Zack and Cody’s best friends from school.

Following the Suite Life franchise, Stewart had guest roles in several movies and TV shows, including the holiday movie The Dog Who Saved Christmas, which starred Elisa Donovan and Mario Lopez. The former actor also played Ollie in the 2013 coming-of-age comedy movie The Secret Life of Dorks.
