"He goes, 'I would not disrespect any woman that way, let alone this woman. You write something funny and I'll say it,'" Rhodes said of her young costar.

This is pretty suite: Kim Rhodes is opening up about a time when her Suite Life of Zack & Cody costar Dylan Sprouse refused to say a fat joke at her expense.

Speaking on the latest episode of the Back to the Best podcast, Rhodes, who played Zack and Cody's mom, Carey, on the Disney Channel series, explained that Dylan and twin brother Cole — who played the titular brothers — "defended [her] all the way through" the show.

In one particular instance, Rhodes recalled being pregnant in real life, which she said the show responded to by writing "fat jokes" about her character. Dylan in particular had a problem with this, and made it publicly known.

"One of my favorite memories is Dylan had a line that was a fat joke, and he just kept skipping over it. It was like in the middle of a chunk of dialogue, so he kept skipping this laugh line and skipping it and skipping it and skipping it," Rhodes recalled. "And finally we get to [taping] in front of the studio audience and he skips it and the executive producer screams, 'Cut!' Dylan say the line,'" she added, pointing out that it's actually the director's job to cut.

"And he goes, 'I would not disrespect any woman that way, let alone this woman. You write something funny and I'll say it,'" Rhodes said of Dylan, adding, "That's my little man. They're both my little men."

The Suite Life of Zack & Cody aired on Disney Channel for three seasons from March 2005 to September 2008, and spawned a sequel series from 2008 to 2011, as well as a 2011 TV movie. Brenda Song, Ashley Tisdale, and Phill Lewis also starred.
