After landing a role in the upcoming Suicide Squad reboot, John Cena has teased that he may have another superhero role in the pipeline.
It was a snap of Valiant Comics' superhero X-O Manowar with no accompanying caption.
The character, who first appeared in 1992, has quite the backstory — he was born Aric of Dacia and is the heir to the throne of the Visigoth people.
Following a brutal encounter with a mysterious enemy known as The Vine, he found himself a prisoner in an alien world where the only hope he had of of returning to his family and saving them from slavery is to don an armoured suit and become X-O Manowar.
Tony Stark and the characters of X-O Manowar and Iron Man met in the 1996 video game Iron Man / X-O Manowar in Heavy Metal.
But fans are more wondering if X-O Manowar could potentially make future film appearances opposite Vin Diesel's Bloodshot.
The release of Bloodshot is the first instalment in the Valiant Comics shared cinematic universe, with a film based on the Harbinger comics set to come next.
And Cena recently worked with Diesel in the upcoming Fast 9, where he plays Dominic Toretto's brother.
Elsewhere in his busy life, Cena recently competed in his most bizarre WWE match yet on Sunday (April 5) at WrestleMania 36.
Cena lost to The Fiend Bray Wyatt in a FireFly Fun House match and has since teased that he may be done with WWE for good.
