‘Suicide Squad’ Cast Dishes on Their Matching Tats

Margot Robbie plays the tattooed, gun-wielding Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad, which hits theaters this Friday. But as it turns out, her branding skills extend far beyond the silver screen.

Last year, Robbie’s co-stars revealed that they allowed her to give them matching “skwad” tattoos. And when The Insider With Yahoo caught up with the squad of supervillains at the film’s junket over the weekend, some happily opened up about the experience, while others — like Jared Leto — explained why they opted not to have Robbie ink them. “I heard about a misspelled word or two,” Leto said of his decision. “I decided maybe it’s better to wait and let her get a few more customers under her belt.”

Though Robbie may not be the world’s best speller, she says she’s done about 50 tattoos in real life. Cara Delevingne, Jai Courtney, Karen Fukuhara, Jay Hernandez, and director David Ayer are just a few of the brave souls from the Suicide Squad cast and crew who allowed the Aussie actress to adorn them with a permanent piece of body art. “She did a good job. It didn’t wash off, you know,” Ayer joked. And though Will Smith is a huge fan of Robbie’s, he did not trust her enough to give him a tattoo. “I’m like hell no, hell no, grown-ass man, grown-ass man!” he laughed.
