I thought that I’d seen it all, but starting a podcast from prison is a new one.

According to TMZ, Suge Knight is working with Dave Mays, co-founder of The Source and the CEO of Breakbeat Media, to start a podcast titled Collect Calls With Suge Knight. The series will debut on October 31.

Based on the trailer, it looks like Knight will be addressing everyone who has had something about the controversial hip-hop figure in recent years, including Akon, Harry O, Master P, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Jimmy Iovine, Mob James, Wack 100, Warren G, Deion Sanders, and many others. The podcast will also take a deep dive into Mays’ creation of The Source and its importance to hip-hop. Despite the questions, Mays has made it known that they already have five episodes stashed away for when the show officially releases.

In a statement, Mays told TMZ, “As we celebrate hip-hop’s 50th year, more than ever the hip-hop community needs a media platform that they can trust to bring a truthful and authentic perspective on so many important things happening in our world. I’m proud that Breakbeat provides this essential and valuable medium.”

He continued, “And I’m so excited to be able to enlist the help of my longtime friend and one of hip-hop’s most formidable, pioneering, and fearless leaders to help Breakbeat continue to achieve this goal. ‘Collect Call With Suge Knight’ will awaken hip-hop fans worldwide and build bridges across multiple generations.”

Earlier this month, Knight said in an interview that he had no interest in speaking on Tupac’s death in court and does not plan on testifying against the man arrested in connection with his 1996 murder. We’ll see if that changes on this podcast.
