Suge Knight has accused Akon and producer Detail of sexually assaulting two teenage girls, claims which the singer has vehemently refuted as a “lie.” On Sunday (Oct. 29), the 50-year-old posted a statement on X refuting the allegations, calling them “sad and embarrassing.”

“The world knows a lie when they hear it,” the Senegalese hitmaker wrote while responding to a clip from Knight’s new Collect Call podcast that was posted on the social media platform on Saturday (Oct. 28). “It’s unfortunate that this man is going out like this. It’s sad and seriously embarrassing.”

He added that he still wishes the incarcerated music executive well despite their current and past differences. “Regardless of our history, I’m still going to be praying for him,” Akon noted in conclusion.

In the clip from Knight’s Collect Call podcast, the 58-year-old alleged that the girl Akon sexually assaulted was 13-years-old, while the girl Detail is alleged to have abused was 12-years-old at the time. According to the Death Row founder, the 13-year-old was the younger sister of one of his female associates, while the 12-year-old was the other minor’s best friend.

“I wasn’t going to bring it up,” Knight began. “[But] one of my homegirls, she was a hustler. She had a little sister, 13 years old. And her best friend was 12 years old. She’s in the car with him. You and Detail call her [Knight’s ‘homegirl’].”

“And she said, ‘I got my little sister and her best friend with me.’ I said, ‘Well, then stop by for a second.’ She go by y’all hotel, in y’all room, and she gets a call. It was the dudes she met at the hotel when she was coming to see you muthaf**kas.”

The West Coast legend then said that his “homegirl” was persuaded by Akon to allow the two minors to stay with him in the hotel room while she left to meet with the client. “He said, ‘Come by, just for 20 minutes.’ [And she said], ‘I can’t do it right now, I gotta take my little sister home, with her friend. I’ll be back in about an hour.’ He said, ‘Come by in 20 minutes, I got a big payday for you.’ You, Akon, said, ‘Go ahead. You can leave your little sister and her friend right here. We can order them something to eat.’”

Knight then said that the two girls then went into another room with Akon and Detail and alleges that’s when the sexual assaults occurred. “She goes to the next room… she says she comes back in about 35 minutes. When she gets back in the room, her little sister and that other little girl don’t wanna eat. They look scared. And they’re crying. When she gets back in the car with them, they tell her, ‘Akon, you f**ked the little girl, 13 — Detail f**ked the little girl, 12 years old. Y’all raped them.’”

While Knight said “homegirl” wanted to take legal action against Akon and Detail, he says he dissuaded her from going to the cops, vowing that he would handle the situation himself. “So when she told me, I pulled up on her, and she said she’s going to the police to put you muthaf**kas in jail for rape,” he claimed. “I said, ‘Nah, we don’t do that, telling to the police. I’ll deal with it. I promise you that.’ So I was trying to catch you muthaf**kas about that situation.”

Knight announced his intentions to launch his Collect Call podcast earlier this month, which will be released on former The Source magazine founder Dave Mays’ Breakbeat Media venture. The podcast will find Knight settling scores and addressing past and current adversaries with Snoop Dogg, Wack 100, and other figures in the music industry.

The Death Row founder is currently serving a 28-year prison sentence after pleading no contest to voluntary manslaughter in 2018 in connection to the 2015 hit-and-run death of Terry Carter.
