Colin Farrell is on the case: The Oscar nominee plays a tough-as-nails private eye searching for a missing girl in the Apple TV+ crime drama Sugar.

The streamer has released a trailer for the noir-flavored new series, which you can watch above, with Farrell starring as John Sugar, who is hired to find the granddaughter of a famous Hollywood producer. John drives through the streets of sunny L.A. in a vintage Corvette convertible with a dog at his side, claiming, “Out here, I’m one of the good guys.” But, he admits, “good and bad can be in the eye of the beholder.”

John doesn’t hesitate to let his fists do the talking, either, as we see him kick and punch his way through his investigation. But he’s haunted by demons as well, and he stumbles upon something bigger than just a simple kidnapping. “They need you to stop looking,” a friend played by Kirby (The Good Place, Killing Eve) tells John, which leads him to ask: “Who’s ‘they’?”

Along with Farrell and Kirby, the cast includes Amy Ryan (The Office), James Cromwell (Succession), Anna Gunn (Breaking Bad), Dennis Boutsikaris (Better Call Saul) and more.

Sugar premieres Friday, April 5 on Apple TV+ with the first two episodes, with episodes releasing weekly after that. Press PLAY above for a first taste of Sugar, and hit the comments and tell us: Will you be watching?
