Tonight, the 78th annual Golden Globes took place virtually on NBC. During the event, The Crown took home the statuette for Best Television Series, Drama. The hit show was nominated against Lovecraft Country (HBO), The Mandalorian (Disney+), Ozark (Netflix) and Ratched (Netflix).

Last year, it was Succession that beat out Big Little Lies (HBO), The Crown (Netflix), Killing Eve (BBC) and The Morning Show (Apple TV+). Other previous winners include The Americans, The Handmaid’s Tale, The Crown, Mr. Robot, The Affair, Breaking Bad, Homeland, Boardwalk Empire, Mad Men, Grey's Anatomy, Lost, Nip/Tuck, 24, The Shield, Six Feet Under, West Wing, The Sopranos, The Practice, The X-Files, Party of Five, NYPD Blue, Northern Exposure, Twin Peaks, China Beach, Thirtysomething, L.A. Law, Murder, She Wrote and Dynasty.

For this specific category, documentary series and mini-series are also eligible. From 1962 to 1968, the category was even more inclusive: It was called the Golden Globe Award for Best Television Series and included musical, comedy and drama series in a single category.

The 78th annual Golden Globes were hosted by Amy Poehler and Tina Fey. This isn’t the first time they served as hosts, but it’s the only awards show that required them to virtually stream from opposite sides of the country.

Congratulations to The Crown!
