Styx, John Waite set return to Resch Center this fall, 6 years after their last visit

ASHWAUBENON - Styx’s history of headlining arena shows in Green Bay, which stretches back to the 1970s at Brown County Veterans Memorial Arena, is about to get a little longer.

The Chicago rock band in its 52nd year is bringing “Renegade,” “Mr. Roboto and “The Best of Times” to the Resch Center at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 11. John Waite, the English musician whose career spans lead singer duties for The Babys and Bad English as well as his 1984 solo hit “Missing You,” will open.

It’s the first time back at the Resch Center for both acts since December 2018 when they performed for a classic rock bill that also included Ann Wilson of Heart.

Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at ticketstaronline.com, 800-895-0071 and the Resch Center box office. Prices are $49 to $135, with aisle seat pairs $10 more per ticket.

The Styx lineup changed in March when bassist Ricky Phillips announced on social media he was “taking a break from the road.” Founding members Chuck Panozzo and James "JY" Young are still in the fold, as is Tommy Shaw, a mainstay since 1975. The current lineup, according to the band's website, also features Lawrence Gowan, Todd Sucherman and Will Evankovich.
