Despite recent statements, Tower of God is still regarded as one of the best webtoons today. Although the anime adaptation wasn’t as big as they wanted it to be, it was still a success, with a rating of over 7.6 on MAL and IMDB. The popular webtoon has been praised repeatedly for its fantastic world-building, even though the events took place inside a tower.

Arie Hon

Arie Hon is one of the strongest warriors who entered the tower with Zahard. He is the ruler of the 100th floor and the head of the renowned Arie family. Before becoming a ranker, he challenged Zahard 10 times and lost 10 times, thus acknowledging Zahard as king. He was also responsible for giving Urek Mazino the test that made him fear the tower. Despite the latter being stronger, Arie was strong enough to hold Urek to a draw.

Urek Mazino

When Jahad was inactive, Urek was regarded as the strongest ranker in the tower. He is often compared to Phantaminum in terms of raw power, but this is just a rumor, as Phantaminum is inactive. Mazino is an irregular and the cofounder of Wolhaiksong. He is the only active person in the tower currently who can match Zahard in a fight. No one has ever defeated him due to his unmatched strength, speed, and Shinsu abilities.

Zahard

Zahard is the series’ primary antagonist. Despite being ranked 3rd, Zahard is known as the King of the Tower. He was previously first but lost his spot when Enryu and Phantaminum arrived; they are now both inactive. Zahard is the ruler of the 134th Floor, the founder of the Zahard Empire, and the strongest active ranker presently. He is regarded as a God by some inhabitants of the tower because of his incredible strength and immortality.

Enryu

Enryu is ranked 2nd in the tower; he is the first irregular to have entered the tower during Zahard’s rule. He earned the title of administrator slayer after slaying the administrator of the 43rd floor. He is the only character in the series to have accomplished such a feat, after slaying the inhabitants of the 43rd floor, believing they were Zahard fanatics, and desecrating the land.

Phantaminum

Phantaminum currently holds the first rank in the tower and is nicknamed “the riddle” due to his enigmatic approach and mysterious personality. He is the most powerful entity in the tower and is an axis user, making his power unmatched. Phantaminum is said to have breached Zahard’s inner palace, massacring many royals and courtiers, many of whom were high-level rankers. He successfully shattered all lines of defense and ultimately faced Zahard, but he vanished without a fight. No one knows why he barged in like that; some believe it was to assert his dominance over Zahard. While some say he is a lunatic, everyone can agree that he is a terrifying force and the strongest character in Tower of God.
