Streamy Awards 2023: Most Watched Ever With 15M Views

It’s a record-breaker for the 2023 Streamy Awards. The annual trophy show honoring the best in content creation on social media drew 15 million cross platform views in its first 48 hours, breaking the show’s 2021 record (9.7 million views) and more than doubling the average show viewership across the 2020-2022 shows (6.4MM views), making it the most viewed Streamy Awards in its 13-year history.

Hosted by YouTube star MatPat, the awards show on Sunday, August 27 saw Dylan Mulvaney take the trophy for Breakout Creator honoring emerging talent. MrBeast, who led all nominees with five noms, took the Creator of the Year award while Michelle Khare won Show of the Year for Challenge Accepted. Other notable winners included Dream, Nick DiGiovanni and Leo González.

Top performing VOD clips included Mulvaney’s acceptance speech for Breakout Creator, MatPat’s Eras Tour monologue of the past, present and future of the internet, Mikayla Nogueira’s acceptance speech for Beauty and Kai Cenat’s acceptance speech for his second consecutive Streamer of the Year award which trended on YouTube following the show.

The 2023 Streamy Awards, produced by Dick Clark Productions and Tubefilter, was streamed live on MatPat’s “The Game Theorists” YouTube channel as well as distributed by Harmony, Deadline parent Penske Media Corp.’s live streaming platform.

Presenters included Anna Sitar, Brianna Chickenfry, Chris Olsen, Colin and Samir, Delaney Rowe, Dream, Drew Afualo, Druski, Dylan Mulvaney, Happy Kelli, Kris Collins, Lizzy McAlpine, Michelle Khare, Pinkydoll, Rhett & Link, Ryan Trahan, Smosh, Supercar Blondie, Tana Mongeau, Xavier Woods, xQc and Zelina Vega.

The show also included performances by Armani White and Icona Pop, as well as RuPaul’s Drag Race alum Shea Couleé who appeared throughout the ceremony chatting with creators in the audience.
