Halloween Children's Concert at the Long Center

On Oct. 22, the Austin Symphony Orchestra will perform songs by composers Mussorgsky, Humperdinck, and Gounod and Tchaikovsky’s "Swan Lake." The performance is at 3 p.m. at the Long Center, 701 West Riverside Drive. Tickets start at $15. A 2 p.m. pre-concert event on the Long Center's terrace includes musical crafts and games, an instrument petting zoo, face painting and a costume contest. Information: thelongcenter.org.

Pumpkin Nights at Pioneer Farms

Pumpkin Nights started Sept. 21, but you have have plenty of time left to visit. Pumpkin Nights, which is at Pioneer Farms on Pioneer Farms Drive in Austin, includes a walking path full of real and artificial carved pumpkins. The experience runs through Oct. 30. St. HELLmo Halloween Party at St. Elmo Brewing

On Oct. 28, St. Elmo Brewing Company is throwing an all-day Halloween party at the brewery, 440 East St. Elmo Road. The kid-friendly activities start at noon and include a costume contest, candy, face painting, arts and crafts. and trick-or-treating. The adult activities start at 6 p.m. and include a costume costume, horror movies, candy, drink specials, Jell-O shots and karaoke. More information on the brewery's Facebook page.

Halloween Hootenany at Thinkery

On Oct. 27, Thinkery is throwing a Halloween party. The party kicks off at 6 p.m. at 1830 Simond Ave. and includes "spooky, gross and silly activities" for kids and adults, according to the museum's website. Tickets start at $30. Information: thinkeryaustin.org.

Freaky Deaky Music Festival

Electronic music artists will descend Oct. 28-29 at Travis Counry Exposition Center, 7311 Decker Lane. The music festival features A Hundred Drums, Alison Wonderland, Alexander Smash and dozens more. Tickets start at $169.95. Information: freakydeaky.com.

Halloween Party at Austin Bouldering Project

Austin Bouldering Project is hosting a Halloween party on Oct. 19 at its Westgate location, 4477 South Lamar Blvd. The party includes shopping, flash tattoos, a costume contest and spooky climbing. Halloween Ghost Hunt by Questo

Looking for a spooky experience? Questo, which is an app for immersive outdoor games, is hosting a ghost hunt Oct. 27-31 in Austin. You'll get to see haunted hotels and "meet the ghosts of the Texas government’s past." Tickets start at $15.99. Information: eventbrite.com.

Halloween parties at Playland Skate Center

Playland Skate Center, 8822 McCann Drive, is hosting Halloween parties for kids and adults. The party for kids is on Oct 22 and runs from noon to 3 p.m. The party includes a costume contest, face painting and trick-or-treating. Tickets are $13 and include skate rental. The adult party is on Oct. 31 and starts at 7 p.m. You must be at least 18 years old to attend. Tickets for the adult party are $14 and include skate rental. Information: playlandskatecenter.net.

POP! Halloween market

Top Drawer Thrift Store is celebrating its relocation to 5312 Airport Blvd. with a pop-up shopping market on Oct. 21. Shopping runs 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will include 45 vendors. "Top Drawer isn’t quite ready for its close up, but we will be popping up right alongside our friends outside on our shiny new parking lot," the thrift store posted on Instagram. Oakwood Cemetery Tour

Save Austin's Cemeteries is hosting its 17th annual Murder, Mayhem & Misadventure Walking Tour on Oct. 28 at Oakwood Cemetery, 1601 Navasota St. Tours start at 10 a.m. and leave every 30 minutes. The last tour goes out at 2:30 p.m. Tours last about 45 minutes and are free. Information: sachome.org.
