In a fitting end to a year of celebrity news in which reality star Donald Trump was elected president, Kim Kardashian became the subject of real news when she was robbed in Paris, and one of the most eligible bachelors in the world seems to have settled down, shopping site Lyst has staged a Nativity scene featuring celebrities.

Photographer Alison Jackson, known for her work using look-alikes to spoof celebrities and celebrity culture, shot the photographs. In September, Jackson unveiled photos of Trump alone that imagined what the then presidential candidate did in his spare time. The artist’s latest work, just in time for Christmas, features Trump as well as one of the most watched couples in the world of celebrity — Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, of course — and their son, Saint, as well as Prince Harry and Simon Cowell, while a Victoria’s Secret Angel hovers overhead.

“Adam and Eve aside, Mary and Joseph are the original celebrity power couple,” Rory Scott, a Lyst spokesman said. “Over 2,000 years later, what better way to remember them this Christmas than a celebrity-busting homage in their honor. While the requirements for global fame might have changed since the Old Testament days, we wanted to reimagine the scene in today’s world and redefine how stars are born.”

No doubt about it, the year was an odd one. (Photo: Alison Jackson)

The reimaginings include everything from Kim taking a selfie (naturally) to Kanye celebrating with champagne. A halo sits above the head of Saint, who is wearing a silly “Born to Rule” onesie. Meanwhile, the three wise men (or “not-so-wise ones,” according to the company’s press release) are bearing ridiculous gifts. Prince Harry has a DVD box set of Suits — the show his new girlfriend, Meghan Markle, appears on — and Cowell has the music of one of his former contestants on the British X Factor, Olly Murs, to promote. As for Trump, well, he has come bearing a briefcase holding cash, gold bars, and a can of his trusty spray tan.

Bring it on, 2017!
